Billing & Plans
Checkpoint offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. Billing is managed per workspace.

Upgrading
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Upgrade Now
- Complete payment in the Stripe Checkout session
- Stripe sends a webhook to Checkpoint which activates the subscription immediately
Subscription statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
active | Subscription is current and paid |
trialing | In a free trial period |
past_due | Payment failed; subscription still active but at risk |
canceled | Canceled; access continues until the end of the current billing period |
incomplete | Checkout started but payment not completed |
unpaid | Multiple payment failures; subscription suspended |
paused | Subscription paused |
Canceling
- Go to Settings → Billing → Current Plan
- Click Cancel Subscription and confirm
- The subscription is scheduled to cancel at the end of the current billing period — Pro access continues until then, then reverts to Free
Invoices
All invoices are fetched directly from Stripe and shown in Settings → Billing → Invoices. Each invoice shows the billing period, status badge, amount charged, and a View Invoice button that opens the Stripe-hosted invoice in a new tab.
Usage meters
The Billing page shows real-time usage for tunnels and integrations with a visual progress indicator. The indicator turns red when approaching or exceeding plan limits. Pro users see unlimited usage without restrictions.
